Everything you need to manage Docker

From simple container operations to complex multi-environment deployments, Dockhand has you covered. Even that one container you forgot about three months ago.

Container management

Start, stop, restart, and remove containers with ease. View detailed container information, environment variables, and running processes.

Compose stacks

Manage Docker Compose stacks with a visual editor. Edit YAML directly or use the intuitive visual interface to configure services.

Image management

Browse and manage Docker images. View layer details, tags, and easily remove unused images to free up disk space.

Live logs

Stream container logs in real-time with full ANSI color support. Finally, errors in beautiful technicolor.

Interactive terminal

Access container shells directly from your browser. No more SSHing like it's 1999.

Multi-environment

Connect to multiple Docker hosts - local sockets, remote TCP connections, or SSH tunnels. Switch between environments seamlessly.

Networks & volumes

Full Docker networking and volume control. Create, inspect, and manage networks and volumes with detailed visibility.

Registry browser

Browse Docker registries, view available tags, and pull images directly. Support for private registries with authentication.

Activity tracking

Track all container operations with a comprehensive activity log. See who did what and when with full audit trails.

Real-time monitoring

Live CPU & memory stats, running processes, and container states update automatically. No page refresh required.

Notifications

Get notified when containers stop, crash, or exceed resource limits. Configure alerts via email, webhooks, or desktop notifications.

Config sets

Save and reuse container configurations. Create templates for common setups and deploy them with one click.

Git integration

Deploy stacks directly from Git repositories. Sync on push with webhooks or set up automatic polling. Your GitOps workflow, simplified.

Vulnerability scanning

Scan images for security vulnerabilities with Grype or Trivy. Filter by severity, see detailed CVE info, and catch issues before deployment.

Built different from the ground up

Built by the guy who has been a selfhosting enthusiast for way too many years. Yes, he runs his own mail server. No, he won't help you set up yours. You can find him lurking and sometimes posting on r/selfhosted.

Lightning fast

Built with SvelteKit for blazing performance. No waiting for pages to load or actions to complete.

Modern interface

Clean, intuitive UI that doesn't feel like it's from 2010. Dark mode by default, because we're not savages.

Zero configuration

Works out of the box. Just mount the Docker socket and you're ready. No PhD required.

Lightweight footprint

Optionally uses SQLite for data storage. No external database required. Runs smoothly on a Raspberry Pi.

Enterprise-ready auth

OIDC, LDAP, and MFA support for teams that need proper access control and audit trails.

Visual Compose editor

Edit docker-compose.yml files with a visual interface. No more YAML indentation headaches.

Real-time everything

Live updates across the board: CPU/memory stats, running processes, container states, and logs. No manual refresh needed.

Automatic sync

Changes made outside Dockhand appear instantly. Start a container from CLI and see it live in the UI immediately.

What sets Dockhand apart

A comprehensive feature set that most Docker management tools lack. We'd include a comparison to managing Docker via CLI, but it would be considered "cruel and unusual punishment."

Feature Common in other tools Dockhand
Modern dark UI Rarely
Visual Compose editor
Real-time log streaming Sometimes
ANSI color support in logs
Web-based terminal Sometimes
Multi-environment support Rarely
Git repository integration
OIDC/SSO authentication Often paid FreeOIDC/SSO is included in the Free Edition because we believe authentication shouldn't be a premium feature. The free SSO provides basic single sign-on without local user storage - users authenticate directly via their OIDC provider. Enterprise edition adds user management, role-based access control, and advanced features on top of SSO. You guys from r/selfhosted convinced us to do this.

LDAP integration

Connect to Active Directory or any LDAP server. Sync users and groups automatically with configurable mappings.

Multi-factor authentication

TOTP-based two-factor authentication. Compatible with Google Authenticator, Authy, and other authenticator apps.

Role-based access

Fine-grained permissions with customizable roles. Control who can view, manage, or administer containers and settings.

User profiles

Personal settings, avatar upload with cropping, and MFA management. Let users customize their experience.

Priority support

Get help when you need it. Email support with fast response times and access to our team of Docker experts.

Your infrastructure, your control

No cloud dependencies, no telemetry, no data leaving your network. Paranoid? We prefer "security-conscious."

Self-hosted only

Dockhand runs entirely on your infrastructure. Your data never touches our servers. No SaaS, no cloud dependency, no vendor lock-in.

Zero telemetry

We don't phone home. No usage tracking, no analytics, no mysterious background connections. Your Docker environment stays private.

Read-only socket access

Mount the Docker socket as read-only for monitoring. Full access only when you need management capabilities. You're in control.

No external dependencies

SQLite database stored locally. No external database servers, no Redis, no message queues (only Grype/Trivy if you want vulnerability scanning). Simple deployment, minimal attack surface.

RSA license validation

Enterprise licenses are cryptographically signed. Even with full source access, licenses cannot be forged without our private key.

Audit-ready

Activity logging tracks all container operations. Know who did what and when. Perfect for compliance requirements and security audits.

Vulnerability scanning

Scan your images for CVEs using Grype and Trivy. Identify security risks before deployment with industry-leading open-source scanners.

Get started in seconds

Just run one command and you're ready to go. That's it. No config files, no setup wizards, no 47-page README.

Terminal
docker run -d \

  -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock \
  -v dockhand_data:/app/data \

Then open http://localhost:3000 in your browser. Or put it behind Traefik, Nginx, Caddy, a Kubernetes ingress, three load balancers, and a VPN tunnel. We don't judge.
